“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.” — Abraham Lincoln
Grab your coffee and walk thru your garden this morning.
It’s the dog days of August and the early morning is the coolest part of the day.
Do you sigh at seeing what remains to be done before going back to work on Monday?
Do you smile as you look at what was accomplished yesterday?
Do you dread the digging, the raking, the tilling, and the sowing of your late summer garden bed?
Will you take time to look closely at the last of the wonderful colors in your fading spring garden?
If you find yourself in a “thorny” situation today, look around. Can you see the rose among the thorns?
Remember what Mr. Lincoln’s quote………………………..and from us……….
Have a wonder-filled day!

It’s just barely getting light out here this morning, and from what I can see, there are more rain clouds rolling our way so I may not get to walk in my gardens this morning. There is so much I feel like doing out there too, but it may just have to wait.
Those are gorgeous roses that you have and a great quote. It is all too easy to complain, when there is most likely something to be thankful for in each and every day. Something beautiful to see, something wonderful to smell, something tasteful to eat.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comment.
