This page contains an ever growing collection of flower and plant photos. They were taken in the yards of family and friends, traveling on the road, and in our own backyard.
Sometimes, when we ask the owner what is the name of the plant, we hear the familiar name, “I don’t know”. We have a few of those “I don’t know” plants. There are lots of folks that have them in their yards. That cutting that your neighbor gave you, who then moved, and you forgot to put a label on it. The just “too cool” plant at the local plant sale and you neglected to have the vendor write down the plant details on their card. And the classic, bringing home the tray of annuals from the big box store, then realizing that you picked the one tray out of fifty that does not have the plant tag stuck into the dirt.
That being said, we could use your help. In these galleries you will find photos named “unknown”, followed by a file number. If you recognize any of these unknown plants or flowers and you feel like helping out, click on the “contact us” to drop an e mail. Please refer to the “unknown-number”.

There could be dozens of common names for the “I Don’t Know” plants. We are curious to see the variety of names, as well as a little hesitant concerning which name to display. And, many of the titles do not have the latin names……yet………we’re working on that.
